CROCUS: Crocus plants are relatively small, reaching just 3-6 inches in height (depending on the variety). The leaves are grass-like, generally with a light stripe running up the middle. The blooms pucker up at night and re-open in the morning.

Chalice-shaped flowers will charm you in early fall, and the broad, glossy leaves will liven winter and spring. Easy to grow, just need sun and well-drained soil. Rose blooms are marked with white at the base. Ideal in the garden or in pot. Also, this perennial is "deer-proof!"
