Synopsis
Allium 'Globemaster'
· Use: The most famous of the truly giant alliums, Globemaster
stands out even in the lush fullness and vibrant
colors of the late spring garden. With huge blossoms that
measure 10 inches across and rise above other garden
plants on sturdy three foot stems, these plants are showstoppers.
Deer and rodent resistant.
· Exposure/Soil: Full- part sun (but must be 5-6 hours of
sun) . Well-drained sandy soil. Tolerates summer drought,
but should be kept moist during growing season.
· Growth: Grows 24-32" tall.
· Hardiness: Perennial
· Foliage: Deciduous. Long, strap-like leaves.
· Flower: Huge metallic-violet blooms are 8-10" across are
the size of a large softball or volleyball..
